I’m Jack, a penetration tester at Equilibrium Security. My background covers service desk support, server administration, IT, and vulnerability management—giving me a well-rounded foundation in Cyber Security.

I didn’t follow the typical path into tech. After school, I worked a mix of jobs—from oil rigs to call centres—before taking an IT and Telecoms apprenticeship with Capgemini. That led to a second apprenticeship focused on Cyber Security, where I discovered a real interest in offensive security and penetration testing.

Since then, I’ve worked across vulnerability management and penetration testing projects, building my skills through hands-on experience, self-study, and certifications. At Equilibrium, I get to work with a team of brilliant testers, helping clients uncover risks and improve their security posture.
