I began my career in network security – partly because Cyber Security wasn’t really a thing back then.

At the time, everything an organisation owned sat inside its network. If you secured the perimeter, you were generally in good shape.

I started out working on global transmission networks, optimising data over fibre optic links – interesting, but a bit too low-level for me. So I moved into client-facing roles at an airport and a systems integrator, before going on to start Equilibrium.

At Equilibrium, we work to challenge the norm and make sure our clients’ brands stay protected from the most common – and often most overlooked – threats.

I’m most in my element speaking with clients. I’m technical enough to understand their needs and shape the right solution – but I’m no pen tester! I leave that to our expert team, who are far smarter (and younger) than me.

Outside of Equilibrium, I’m a keen (but average) tennis player, an occasional runner, and a proud dad to two strong-willed, highly opinionated daughters.
