Since graduating in 2015 with a degree in English Literature, I began working as a marketing resourcer for a recruitment agency in Birmingham. In hindsight, this opportunity was the catalyst which sparked my initial interest in the field , the insight I gained into the marketing industry really interested me and I hoped I could follow in the footsteps of the ambitious candidates I was recruiting.
After doing my initial research into the company when applying for the role, I was intrigued and impressed by the technical expertise that the company offered. Although my passion has always been creative writing with the aim to pursue a career within marketing, it has always been important for me to join a company where I am excited by their products, brand and future business plans.
I could see that Equilibrium were ambitious and prided themselves upon providing excellent service alongside industry leading expertise within Cyber Security. I am extremely excited for the future growth of the organisation and the numerous campaigns which are set to launch in the new year.
Since joining the business in mid-December, there are many projects which I am looking forward to starting. I am eager to take ownership of the company blog and to be representing Equilibrium at numerous networking events around the UK. By keeping up-to-date with industry news, technological developments and the newest cyber threats which are jeopardising businesses, I hope to become a cyber security expert and an advocate for the company’s excellent services and ethos.
Outside of work I would consider myself a bit of a foodie, I like to visit various food festivals which are often hosted around Birmingham. I also like to seek out independent cafe’s which serve quality homemade cakes and good coffee! I am a big fan of cooking programs and my favourite TV Chef is Rick Stein, I hope to go to one of his famous restaurants around the UK in the near future.
