Equilibrium is extremely excited to introduce Jon our latest member of the team.
Jon Begley joined Equilibrium Security at the beginning of this month, to join the ever expanding team. Previously working for an industry leader in Incident Response (IR) and Security Intelligence he aims to widen and grow our level of expertise within cyber security, focusing within Incident Response, breach prevention and detection.
Jon enjoys the whole spectrum of cyber security, from installing network monitoring & endpoint detection and remediation (EDR) tools, to deep analysis on executables from volatile information.
Jon previously worked on several global breaches for FTSE 100 companies, engaging with most companies over several months. Through the engagement he would perform the entire Incident Response cycle from detection, disruption, and enumeration of threats; through to implementing tools that provide companies with alerting and prevention against future attacks.
Jon approaches projects utilising the Equilibrium can do attitude, tailoring a service and solution for customers around their current infrastructure, budget, and requirements is something that comes naturally to him.
One of Jon’s main passions within cyber security is building up a portfolio of intelligence of a known “hacker”, he gains this from reverse engineering malware samples, and intelligence recovered from inside the organisations, then correlating information with third party threat intelligence providers.
Aside from work Jon can either be found participating in extreme sports, or catching up on the F1. Also unlikely as it may seem, you may also find him outside manning the BBQ, although that’s unlikely due to unpredictable British weather.
